要結合 Maker、Open Source Hardware 與 IoT 就要有一個 Open IoT 雲端平台，才能讓創客「自建雲」。Iot Device 經由 Web 交連，是第四波的 IoT 發展，又稱為 WoT（Web of Things）。個化化 IoT Cloud 是數據私有（Privacy）以及域名獨立（independent）的物聯網新經濟，也是創客（Maker）結合物聯網（Maker of Things）的新生態

注重 Process 的物聯創客

課程將提供小巧易用的解決方案，協助物聯創客（Maker of Things）解決裝置連網（Connected Devices）的技術問題。物聯創客重視系統軟體實作，與實作流程（Making Process）

課程宗旨

　　IoT 雲端平台去中心化，就從這門課程開始。使用自建雲，不如來做「自造雲」。自造雲的真正意義，就像是 Maker 精神：自已架設自已的 IoT Cloud。

　　IoT 雲端平台，將會走向 End-to-End 模式，也就是去中心化的模式。簡單說，這代表每個人都可以「自已打造個人雲端」，每個人都有能力，並運用 Open Resource 打造 IoT Cloud。新世代的創業者與創客，是一個善於運用開放源資的年輕世代。本系列課程以 Open Source、Open Hardware 與 Open Standards 來打造「個人化的 IoT 雲端平臺」，並且建立實作 Connected Device 系統程式的能力，成為 Maker of Things。

Constrained Device 類型的 IoT 裝置解決方案，偏向 Sensor Device 與 High Performance MCU 的使用案例

ARM mbed 是 Cortex-M 系列的作業系統，本課程以 ARM mbed 作業系統展示 MCU OS 的物聯網開發。有別於 Arduino 裝置，使用 ARM mbed 作業系統讓 IoT 軟體更結構化

Intel Edison

SBC (Single Board Computer) 類型的 IoT 裝置解決方案，偏向 Connected Device 或 Wearable 的使用情境

Intel Edison 搭載的 Yocto 是一個 Embedded Linux 發行套件，因此是一個完整的 SBC 環境，本課程將討論 SBC 與 Constrained Device 的使用案例

EMW3165

WiFi MCU 類型的 IoT 裝置解決方案，偏向 Low Power 與 High Performance MCU 的使用情境

號稱是 ESP8266 的 Killer，EMW3165 是使用 Cortex-M4 的 WiFi SoC Module 的硬體，本課程將討論 Embedded Wi-Fi Applications 的使用案例
